1. Who We Are
nepsisathome is an online community created by Lisa Rose and Laura E, Wolfe (“we,” “us,” “the Site”) for Orthodox Christian homeschooling families. By creating an account, purchasing a product, or participating in any part of this Site — including the discussion board, essay library, store, or group coaching sessions — you agree to these Terms.

2. Entertainment and Opinion Only — No Professional Advice
All content on this Site — including essays, discussion board posts, downloadable materials, and group coaching sessions — is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes only. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, medical, psychological, financial, educational-credentialing, or spiritual/pastoral advice, and nothing here should be treated as a substitute for consultation with a qualified attorney, physician, licensed counselor, your parish priest or spiritual father, or other appropriate professional. Lisa and Laura are sharing personal opinions, experiences, and perspectives — not professional counsel — and nothing said on this Site creates a professional-client relationship of any kind.

3. User-Generated Content
The discussion board and any comments, posts, or messages allow members to share their own views. Opinions expressed by members — including Lisa and Laura when posting informally — are personal opinions, not official positions of the Site, and we are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or consequences of any user’s statements. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to remove content or suspend accounts that violate our community guidelines.

4. No Liability for Reliance on Content
You acknowledge that any decision you make based on content from this Site — educational, medical, legal, financial, or spiritual — is made at your own discretion and risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lisa, Laura, and the Site disclaim liability for any loss, damage, or harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, any content provided here.

5. Purchases and Digital Downloads
All store purchases are for digital products delivered electronically. Due to the nature of digital downloads, all sales are final. Group coaching sessions are sold separately and are subject to the same no-professional-advice disclaimer in Section 2 — the guided book club is an educational/community discussion, not therapy, spiritual direction, or counseling.

6. Group Coaching / Book Club Sessions
Coaching sessions take place via Google Meet, a third-party service not controlled by us; your use of Google Meet is subject to Google’s own terms. We are not responsible for technical issues, outages, or data handling by Google.

7. Intellectual Property
Essays, downloads, and original materials on this Site are the property of Lisa and Laura (or their respective authors) and may not be reproduced, redistributed, or resold without permission.

8. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our community standards, at our discretion.

9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Contact
Questions about these Terms: Contact the site administrator using the contact form.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
For visitors in the UK/EU, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contract necessity: processing needed to create your account, deliver purchased downloads, or provide coaching session access.
  • Consent: for optional communications (e.g., newsletters) and non-essential cookies — you can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests: for basic security, fraud prevention, and improving the Site, balanced against your rights.

4. How We Use Your Data
To create and maintain your account; process payments and deliver digital products; operate the discussion board and messaging; send essential account/service communications; and, with your consent, send optional updates.

5. Who We Share Data With
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with:

  • [Stripe/PayPal] — payment processing.
  • Google (Google Meet) — for coaching sessions you register for; Google acts as its own controller for data generated during calls.
  • Hostinger — to operate the Site.

Each of these is a substantial company with its own GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement available publicly; we do not have side agreements beyond their standard terms.

6. International Data Transfers
If you are located outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where this Site and our service providers operate.

7. Data Retention
We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, or dispute-resolution obligations. You may request earlier deletion (see Section 8).

8. Your Rights Under GDPR (UK/EU Residents)
You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request erasure (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is consent-based)
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority

To exercise any of these, contact the site administrator. We will respond within one month as required by law.

9. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA (California Residents)
California residents have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we’ve collected, used, and disclosed about you in the past 12 months
  • Delete personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to certain exceptions
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so this is not currently applicable, but we disclose this right regardless
  • Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information beyond what’s necessary to provide our services
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise these rights, contact the site administrator. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. You may also designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.

10. Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined under CPRA.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use essential cookies for login and site functionality.

12. Children’s Privacy
This Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where GDPR’s higher age threshold applies in certain EU member states). Contact us if you believe a child’s data has been collected, and we will delete it.

13. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is completely secure.

14. Changes to This Policy
We will post updates here with a revised “last updated” date. Material changes affecting your rights will be communicated more directly (e.g., by email or a Site notice).
